Our Prices
At 1st–4 we believe that we have a quality training programme that has undertaken constant audits and revisions over the years to evolve into one of the most effective driving instructor training packages that money can buy.
We have 4 packages to suit every pocket and ambition.
All our courses start with a 3 hours interview/assessment lesson, Including ADI 14 pack. This is fully refundable if you join us.
- Our Driving Instructor Trainers are all ORDIT registered.
- Once qualified, you will be offered a position as a franchised instructor with The Big Red L Company. You can choose which level best suits you.
- Our success rate since March 2005 has been 100%. (To qualify this statement, this means every person we have taken on as a trainee instructor has passed their part 3 exam on or before their final attempt.)
- Our top offering is based on £3750 and includes everything you need to pass the exams. This includes training materials, Unlimited training, use of car if required and a 6 month free franchise with The Big Red L Company. (Retail price normally £5790)
- As above but without franchise @ £3000 (Potential saving of £1750)
- Pay as you go at £150 per half day or £700 per 5 half days training
- £1750 is our least expensive and has all the same attributes as our top offering, but with an 18 month franchise ‘lock-in’ period to The Big Red L Company.
Exam Fees
The costs of each exam are currently (April 24 2009)
- Part 1 – £90
- Part 2 – £111
- Part 3 – £111
- These fees are payable for each attempt at each part of the qualifying exam

Licence Fees
The costs of each licence are currently (April 24 2009)
- Trainee Licence (pink licence)£140
- ADI Licence (green licence) £300
- These fees are payable direct to the DSA
Franchise Fees
The Franchise Fee is payable on a monthly basis
- Bond (£250) Repayable at end of contract>
- Franchise Fee (Startup Deal) – 1st month for free
- Franchise Fee (Gold) – £80 per week Incl VAT*
- Franchise Fee (Silver) – £40 per week Incl VAT
- *£320 Training allowance each year
