Advanced Driving

Today’s advanced driving session was a pre test assessment including elements in Motorway, Rural and Town driving. Weather conditions where atrocious on the Motorway with visibility quite low no apparent change in other drivers behaviour applying four seconds of separation distance was interesting plus working in a bubble of space.
Independent driving in town was difficult as white paint on a wet road was difficult to spot. What is it about spiral one way systems and roundabouts. If you want to be a meat in a sandwich travel over the bridges in Maidstone following the signs and road markings. My client was challenged but found the commentary driving enabled them to focus. Oh and a parcel force van had driven into a bus stop facing the wrong way in a one way street serious damage, fortunately no one was hurt.
Rural roads wet leaves and slippery conditions always being in the correct position-speed-gear helped my client. They used this as a continued check list for the varied conditions that the rural drive brought. A good session.
